The 40 Developmental Assets

The 40 developmental assets is a relatively new concept in the field of public service. I have run across it time and again in the past year, so I feel it is a concept we should all become familiar with. I first heard about them from YA Guru Patrick Jones, but have also encountered them when working with folks from other public service agencies in creating partnerships. This seems to me to indicate that they are being accepted across the board amonst public policy makers as touchstones for making sound policy and programming decisions.
